You have always loved to sing, but mostly keep it under wraps in front of others, saving it instead for solo car rides or the sanctuary of the shower. Music is undeniably important to you but you can’t imagine calling yourself a musician.
And then you sat in ceremony with Ayahuasca and felt the true healing power of music.
Did Grandmother Aya inspire you to learn an instrument? Are medicine songs constantly running through your head? Do you hear the call to sing freely in ceremony but hold back in doubt of the quality or worthiness of your voice?
The Sacred Song Retreat is an outpouring of love from my heart to yours to encourage you to unleash the music of your soul as medicine simply because it’s an expression of devotion.
During our week together we will learn new medicine songs, bravely “perform” for each other, go beyond lyrics and any thought of “right” with vocal toning and improvisational medicine songs, and practice harmonizing as a sisterhood.
We will be fully supported by the compassionate strength of our circle, the sacred geometry acoustics of a very special temple, the spirit family who will be hosting us, the ancestors of these sacred Mayan lands, and of course our Beloved Abuelita and other plant teachers.
Why Sacred Song is Ready to be Sung
HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
Like you, Grandmother Ayahuasca has been encouraging the unfurling of my voice and musical artistry since my first ceremonies in 2016. It is because of Her and the many skilled musicians who held me through intense cleansing processes of grief and ecstatic celebrations of this magical life that I was inspired to start learning the guitar nearly two years ago so that I could sing those same medicine songs.
Learning the guitar has required humble patience.
Allowing my voice to ring true beyond ego’s limitations and in witness of others has been the real work.
I dedicated 2020 to evolving my musical expression by chanting to Saraswati, the Hindu Goddess of art & music, 120 days out of the year so her lyrical magic could come alive within me. I continually challenged myself to sing in front of others, record myself within days of learning a new song, channel divine melodies, seek vocal activations and guidance from experienced musicians, and practice new songs that would force me to learn new chords on the guitar and stretch my voice.
All in an effort to unleash my Sacred Song that was bursting to come out, beyond the limitations my Inner Critic was holding me to.
My devotion to music led me to discover the Temple at Portal Xibalba in Mexico. It was here that I heard my voice in a new, unexpected way. As medicine. As divine. As beautiful.
As enough to one day fulfill a humble desire to sing in ceremony to Abuelita, Great Spirit and my medicine family.
At the beginning of 2020 I could play maybe 8 songs. By the end of the year, that had grown to at least 80.
Recently I was asked to sing during ceremony. My voice came alive as a pure path of prayer. Grandmother instructed me to gather my sisters together so we could amplify the power of our collective prayer through song, for the healing of ourselves and the entire planet.
I wish nothing more than to share the magic of Temple Xibalba with you, sing with you, and support you in rewilding your voice and expression of feminine devotion.

Soul Dance and Yoni Yoking
Your voice and vagina are intimately connected. The physical structures of both are remarkably similar. The yoni and vocal cords are so inextricably linked that to be disconnected from one shuts down the other.
To support the opening of our vocal channel, we will loosen and activate our sacral center with dance, movement and breathwork practices. How can dance be a sacred meditation, a transmission of medicine, and prayer to the Divine?
Tantric heart and pussy pujas will unify our yoni, heart and throat.

It is the medicines that call us home to our Sacred Song.
During our week together we will receive the medicines of rapé tabaco and Ayahuasca. Sacred Cacao will connect us as we chant under the Full Moon. We will also be reborn through the womb of a temazcal.
Pamela Dharani will lead us in song with the temazcal abuelita stones. Ivan Jagdish is an incredible musician who will steward our meeting with Grandmother. Both have extensively studied various healing modalities, apprenticed in the Sacred Valley of Peru and worked directly with indigenous teachers. My dear brother Luis Alejandro will guide our rapé ceremony.

Relaxation & Full Moon Adventures
This retreat will also include time to relax and be pampered. We will travel to the Coba archeological ruins on our last full day, which happens to be the Full Moon.
Portal Xibalba
My friends and spirit family Oscar Bolivar and his wife Rocio Dominguez are the creators and guardians of the ever evolving eco retreat center and temple Xibalba within the private sustainable, conscious community of Pueblo SacBe located in the jungle of Playa del Carmen. Oscar has been designing and building the sacred spaces of Portal Xibalba for 20 years.
Instead of building ON Pachamama, Portal Xibalba seems as though Pachamama grew up from the ground to form the buildings that will house our journey. Xibalba is the name the Maya gave to the “underworld”, so as you can imagine this is where deep spiritual work can be done.
Community Parlor
This is where we’ll relax and take our organic, vegetarian meals. Through those arches, under a sacred geometry structure, is where we will meet for morning meditation.
TreeTop Lookout
High above the tree canopy, the ‘treehouse” is the perfect place to chill and see the stars. This is where we will receive our opening rapé ceremony.
Rooms
The organic architecture extends to the four rooms in the main house. You can trust that whichever sister you room with has special medicine for you.
Cenotes
Pueblo SacBe is teaming with sacred water pools called cenotes, which are all essentially private due to the security of the community.

The Ado bus is also available to Playa del Carmen for approx $13 + $8-$10 taxi to SacBe)

🧡 This retreat is intentionally designed for those who have already sat with Ayahuasca and understand the protocols required to drink this medicine. If you have never been in an ayahuasca ceremony but feel a strong call to join us, please contact me to discuss.
🎼 No formal voice training or ability to play an instrument required. Bring your heart and the willingness to let your voice out. Don’t forget your favorite instruments! If you don’t have any, there will be extra to share.
